Microcosmic Orbit Meditation

Image
Microcosmic Orbit(小周天) is a meditation technique to circulate the qi-energy within your body with deep breathing and visualization of the flow of light.  Here are simple steps on how to practice the Microcosmic Orbit Meditation. 1. Sit in a quiet room, either in lotus position or on a chair, keeping a straight spine. Still the body, calm the mind, regulate the breath. 2. Gently close your eyes and turn your attention within.  3. Visualize a ball of energy in your abdomen - a golden light that is pure, clear, and bright.  4. Guide the energy ball of light down to the perineum (the area between the anus and the scrotum for men or vulva for women, then to the coccyx (tail bone, or base of the spine). 5. Let the qi-energy pass through the 9 apertures of the coccyx like a snake weaving through them, then raise it up to where the ribs meet the spine, then up to the Jade Pillow (the base of the brain on the back side of your head). 6. Bring the qi-

Anahata (Heart) Chakra Meditation

Image
The Anahata (Heart) Chakra is the 4th primary chakra in the physical body, located by the center of the chest beside the heart. It is where blood is circulated throughout the physical body, where all thoughts and emotions are felt, and the truths are revealed. There are many ways of meditating on the Anahata - reciting affirmation and mantras, utilizing the yantra (symbol) and mudra, practicing forgiveness, compassion, love, etc. There are many methods being introduced and taught online and in yoga or meditation centers, what you feel most comfortable and in resonance will be most effective and beneficial. When we begin to understand the deeper meaning of 'love as the most powerful energy of the universe' and that 'God is love', it cannot be emphasized enough how important it is to meditate on our heart. It is the focal point of the energy from heaven and earth to meet and balance each other. Meditation Instructions 1. Sit

Basic Instructions for Breathing Meditation

Image
Breathing exercises are the main essence of Qigong practice. There are '48 Hands' with 1-21 basic exercises and 22-48 advanced exercises that are practiced in order. Because it requires certain knowledge and experience in qi and breath works, I recommend to first start with a simple yogic breathing exercise. The practice of yoga starts with a meditation which includes breathing. This is called Pranayama. Prana  means "life force energy" (equivalent to qi), or breath sustaining the body. Ayama means "to extend" or "draw out." Put together, pranayama means breath extension and control. There are 5 forms of prana. • udana vayu - used in the throat region for speech • prana vayu - used in the chest region for breathing • samana vayu - used in the central region for digestion • apana vayu - used in the lower abdomen for elimination • vyana vayu - used for distributing energy to all parts of the body When the prana leaves the bo

What is Qi & Qigong

Image
What is Qi(氣) The practice of Qigong is to first understand the Qi (pronounced chee).  It is the energy that brings creation, existence, and destruction.  Everything manifests out of Qi, exists as a form of Qi, and returns to Qi.  It is the life force and source of all metabolism, the root of the movement of consciousness, thought, sensory awareness, and emotions.  It holds together the atoms, molecules, bodies, earth, and the universe. When the pattern of Qi becomes exhausted, life force leaves. Things disintegrate, death and change occur.  The Qi emerges out of absolute nothingness - Wuji(無受) The emptiness, void, pure openness. Words cannot describe, for it goes beyond any thought, idea, or concept. And yet it can be directly experienced.  Qi moves as Yin/ Yang .  Yin represents the earth, darkness, coldness, heaviness, descension, contractiveness, stillness. Yang represents the heaven, brightness, warmth, lightness, ascens

Calibrating The Yin/ Yang of Qi

Image
Calibrating the Yin/ Yang (Positive/ Negative) of the Qi (Energy) When we practice any kind of energy works such as healing, physical therapy, medical healthcare, yoga, pilates, martial arts, sports, etc., we aim to increase and strengthen the positive life-force energy, known as 'qi' (chee) in Qigong. Anything that brings down the qi has a negative effect, therefore distinguished as to have negative yin qi.  It is important to know if the qi (energy) is yin/ yang (positive/ negative) and how strong it is, for knowing your own energy level as well as other people, pets, food, objects, environments, etc. which all have their effects on one another.  A positive yang energy is energizing, revitalizing, empowering, healing, etc. A negative yin energy pulls down the life-force energy, causes complications, disharmony,  illnesses, etc.  Daoism is about having a good balance of yin/ yang energies, whereas in Qigong the yin/ yang energies define the overall te

Mudra: The Bodhisattvas' Ring

Image
The Bodhisattvas' Ring is similar to the kinesiology muscle test. Some energy workers might be experienced in using pendulums which is also a divination tool for receiving spiritual guidance.    You can first read the article Calibrating the Yin/ Yang of Qi .                                                  It is said that the Bodhisattvas have used the mudras as a divination tool for them to connect telepathically with other beings. As we understand that everything is energy, this Bodhisattvas' Ring is a simple and useful tool to calibrate the yin/ yang (positive/ negative) and measuring the strength of the qi (aka. ki, prana, life-force energy). This qi that you can calibrate and measure can virtually be of anything including human beings, animals, food, drinks, objects, places, thoughts, etc.  With the Bodhisattvas' Ring, you will have the ability to: • scan your physical body • connect with your subconscious mind • connect with your higher self • acces

Introduction

Hello, welcome to my blog. I'll be writing about energy healing with Reiki and Qigong, yoga, meditation, Akashic Records, reincarnation and past lives, spirituality, etc. As we are all on our own paths of experiencing life on earth, we help each other in one way or another to learn and understand the deeper meanings of love, compassion, joy, peace, harmony, enlightenment. My hopes are to reach out to the world with the message of healing through unconditional love - to bring more light and inspiration for us to share greater love together as one humanity. May we have the guidance and protection from above. Blessings upon our souls Hiromi
